Our Commitment To Privacy
Your privacy is important to us. To better protect your privacy we provide this notice explaining our online information practices and the choices you can make about the way your information is collected and used. To make this notice easy to find, we make it available on our homepage, on our standard footer and at every point where personally identifiable information may be requested.
The Information We Collect:
This notice applies to all information collected or submitted on websites and software (the “System”) belonging to 1153544 Alberta Ltd. o/a Game Plan Systems (the “Company”). On some pages, you can order products, subscribe to features, make requests, and register to receive materials. The types of personal information collected at these pages include:
Credit/debit card information
Date of birth
Type of user within the system (for example: athlete, coach, parent)
Other personal information or preferences that you choose to share with the Company
On some pages, you can submit information about other people. For example, you are a coach of a team and add other coaches and players to your group so you can share information and communicate; or perhaps you are a parent registering an account on behalf of your child. In these circumstances, the types of personal information for other people we collect include:
Year of birth or age
Parent’s name and contact information
Type of user within the system (for example: athlete, coach, parent)
When you use the Company’s web sites you may set up a personal profile, create relationships, communicate with others, create groups, write articles, design training drills and exercises, share photos and videos, organize events, set site preferences, store data, and transmit information through various channels. We collect and store this information so you are able to complete various tasks within the System. We also create regular backups of the data to minimize the risk of data loss or to restore accidental removal of information or accounts.
As you use the System, the Company will track and store certain information about your user behavior. This may include how frequently and how recent you have accessed the System, which features you use, and the volume of Content you post. This information is used by the Company to assist users with support calls, to develop new features, enhance existing functionality and help the Company make business and marketing decisions. The Company will not share this information to any third parties in a way that will personally identify you as the User, unless required to do so by law.
The System uses “cookies” to store certain information about our Users. We use session ID cookies to confirm that Users are logged in, these cookies terminate once the User closes the browser.
Any data or personal information that you post within our System is done at your own risk and must follow our Terms and Conditions. Wherever possible, the Company allows you to change settings which determine who can see Content, data or personal information which you may post to the System, however we can not guarantee the security of your information. Please be aware that no software or security measures are safe from failure or circumvention. We take privacy and security of data very seriously, however the Company is not responsible for any circumvention of privacy settings or failure of the security measures taken by the Company. The Company does not guarantee that unauthorized parties will not see information that you post to the System. If data is removed from the system, copies of that information may still exist in caches or in the hands of other Users if they have saved a copy of your Content.
The Way We Use Information:
You create your own account within the System when you register. Your name, email and photo will be shared with people in groups or networks that you are a part of. The Company may also use your name and email address to communicate with you via email or phone if we need to address a service or support issue, or if we are letting you know about important new features or policies.
We use the information you provide about yourself when placing an order only to complete that order. We do not share this information with outside parties except to the extent necessary to complete that order.
Content that you post such as drill diagrams, articles and photos will be shared with other Users of the System based on the permissions that you set. If you share Content within a group that you belong to, then they will be able to view and use that Content. For example, if you are an administrator for a team (group) and share a drill that you’ve created with the team, another administrator may print that drill and use it in a practice plan.
If you choose to share Content you have posted with the public, any other User of the System will be able to use that Content. Additionally, personal information such as your name and photo will be shared with the public so that the Content may be attributed to you. Content that you share with the public may be moderated by the Company prior to, or following, you setting the permissions to share. Moderation may include editing the Content or removing it from the System, and this could be done due to concerns around safety, health, language, violation of copyright or other concerns which violate the Terms and Conditions of using the System. Once Content that you’ve posted has been shared with the public, Users of the System may use your Content as outlined in the Terms and Conditions. The Company may use Content you have shared with the public for marketing and promotional purposes, within and external to the System. Other Users may rate, comment on, or further share Content that you have posted and shared in the System.
Skill testing is a big part of athletic development. Users may create skill tests and enter testing results for themselves and others. In certain instances the Company may use, or generate for others to use, aggregate test results that will provide training benchmarks. The Company will not make skill test results that may be attributed to you available to other Users unless you specify it is all right, or if the other User already has access to that data.
We use return email addresses to answer the email we receive. Such addresses are not used for any other purpose and are not shared with outside parties.
We use non-identifying and aggregate information to better design our website and to share with advertisers. For example, we may tell an advertiser that X number of individuals visited a certain area on our website, or that Y number of men and Z number of women filled out our registration form, but we would not disclose anything that could be used to identify those individuals.
Finally, we never use or share the personally identifiable information provided to us online in ways unrelated to the ones described above without also providing you an opportunity to opt-out or otherwise prohibit such unrelated uses.
Our Commitment To Data Security
To prevent unauthorized access, maintain data accuracy, and ensure the correct use of information, we have put in place appropriate physical, electronic, and managerial procedures to safeguard and secure the information we collect online.
Our Commitment To Children's Privacy
Protecting the privacy of the very young is especially important. The Company is set up to help youth athletes develop their skills. As such, children under the age of 13 years old may be exposed to the System, and some personal information about a child may be posted to the System. We require that no User of the System is under the age of 13. Parents or guardians may create an account on behalf of their child, but contact information must belong to the parent. If we know that a child under the age of 13 years old is operating an account, we will remove that account.
If you a parent of a child under 13 and wish for information to be removed from the System, please contact the Company.
How You Can Access Or Correct Your Information
You can access all your personally identifiable information that we collect online and maintain by contacting the Company and providing proof of identity. We will generate a report of all information the Company has related to your identity and send it to you via fax, email or postal mail. You must respond, in writing, with the changes you would require to your information. We use this procedure to better safeguard your information.
You can correct factual errors in your personally identifiable information by sending us a request that credibly shows error.
To protect your privacy and security, we will also take reasonable steps to verify your identity before granting access or making corrections.
